Northern Ireland kits Euro 1992 Qualifying

In 1990 Umbro resumed their relationship with the IFA and introduced a set of kits with a repeated geometric pattern. The reintroduction of navy blue to the national team's pallette was a welcome reminder of Ireland's early heritage.

Scotland kits Euro 1992

This umbro kit likes me because of the special neck it has, of course when compared with the revolutionary away kit, the home outfit looked positively conservative. As a funny note, numbers on home kit are different between jersey and short. Almost forget, umbro logo in home jersey have the new logo design at a time, meanwhile the rest of the logos conserve the old design.

Germany kits Euro 1992

Germany team and Adidas have always had an affair, more evident in Euro 1992, Adidas always have something different for German kits, in that time was the most spectacular V neck of all mankind and another details but the neck was something awesome, when you probably think that a simple white neck with black Adidas logo is adequate...boom!. Anyway another detail was the absence of stripes in short and the sleeve stripes design of course.

USA kits 1992-1994

This adidas kits dressed USA team during the build up to the 1994 World Cup which they hosted. I mentioned before that this design in particularly from adidas  is the best of all in my opinion, those days the German brand decided that 3 stripe concept will be his mark, even they changed logo. Man! even they asociated stripes to sport clothes since ever. Notice that US logo and numbers are different between those kits, it's a prove that designers still missed details like this in 90's decade. And maybe a little bit of red improve away kit, don´t you think?.

Sweden kits Euro 1992

In this tournament we saw a change in design philosophy, Adidas was the leader and they were who brought that change ... no pattern fabric and a simple and impact 3 stripe graphic in jersey and shorts, a few months later socks too. Isn't greath that big 3 stripe in shoulder. The best all time adidas design in my opinion till now. The away kit don't showed up in Euro 92, but the kit was seen in friendly matches. Almost forget.. and new logo too, guess what! a big 3 stripes too.. that's branding? hell yes!!

Netherlands kits Euro 1992

New era was for Holland team with this Lotto kit open the 90s decade, in a elegant kind of design as his counterparts Umbro, guys of italian brand sponsor one of the hottest teams in those times. The kit was popular, i guess because so many years with Adidas.

Soviet Union kits Euro 1992 Qualifying

As the USSR national team had already booked a spot in Euro 1992 through the 1991 qualification tournament, the only way to preserve the spot for the post-Soviet team was to take part in the competition as a unified team. Here the kits dressed during the qualification stage, showing a crazy pattern design fashionable at the time.

CIS kits Euro 1992

The CIS national football team was a provisional national team of the Football Federation of the Soviet Union in 1992. Team would represent the Commonwealth of Independent States. They dressed adidas three stripes shoulders design. With the end of Euro 1992, the team was transformed into the Russia national team.

Wales kits Euro 1992 Qualifying

Great kit by umbro with his traditional elegant look and his geometrical patterns. After an absence of 16 years, Umbro returned as Wales' kit partner at a time when designs were becoming ever more outlandish, due largely to the growth in replica sales. Shirts were designed with an eye for how they would look worn with jeans on the High Street as much their appearance on the pitch.

Home kit kept the popular all-red look with some discrete trimmings in green and white. The shirt was manufactured with the same fabric also used for England's blue third strip of the period. The away kit was an adventurous business. Basically white, the shirt featured a complicated pattern in green and red over an abstract fabric. The shorts and stockings were identical in design to those of the home set, allowing elements to be mixed and matched if required.

Denmark kits Euro 1992

For me this kits designed by hummel is the king of all kits. As a curious detail the short numbers are different from the jersey. Anyway Denmark made a great and stunning Danish Fairy tales in Euro 1992 by participating the tournament as a replacement team of an abandoned Yugoslavia, and then later clinched the Euro 1992 title in the end.

Switzerland kits Euro 1992 Qualifying

Swiss team dressed this Blacky brand kit from 1990 to 1992, this swiss brand try to make impact in those years and one of his insignia teams was Switzerland. Blacky was known for playing a lot with patterns and colors. What we laughed today was innovative at that time. "The designs were a little debatable," says Jörg Stiel former goalkeeper of the FC Wettingen.

Uruguay kits World Cup 1986

Simple but always nice is the light blue charruas kit, In 1986 they will be remembered by the 1-6 score vs Denmark, probably they had not received 6 goals if they played with the light blue kit.

Netherlands kits World Cup 1986 Qualifying

Was kind of surprise that Netherlands do not participate in 1986 WC final round, but his orange kit was a world famous by the time.

Wales kits World Cup 1986 Qualifying

During qualification stage Wales dressed this adidas exclusive design, the curious thing to note is the logo, they embroidery over the white stripes with no fill, looks terrible.

Portugal kits World Cup 1986

Portugal shows a classic adidas design for the era and bad alignment too, for logos i meant.

Scotland kits World Cup 1986

Elegant kit this one, Scotland dressed the blue kit in his 3 games during World Cup 1986. Doing some research in the qualification stage i found a game vs Iceland in 1985 that scottish dressed the yellow kit, both are very similar to the version used in Euro 1988.

Germany kits World Cup 1986

Germany always brings new things every World Cup in kits matter, in 1986 german kit as simple as it looks had a very important upgrade.. was the long of sleeves, this long will predominate in the years to come. Detail to note was the position of the adidas logo in the white away shorts, they used in two games during the tournament, in the game vs Uruguay the germans used shorts with logo in the left side, in the game vs Argentina they used shorts with logo in the right side.

Algeria kits World Cup 1986

Very People remembered this kit, when Algeria stepped in the field must people say Wow, catchy kit no doubt.

Northern Ireland kits World Cup 1986

The comment of this kit came with the badge, note the Mexico 1986 World Cup distinctive, very few teams did this in this years, not mention FIFA are in diapers with branding.

Spain kits World Cup 1986

We saw Spain with a LeCoq Sportif kits during World Cup 1986, more exactly with the red/blue kit in all his 5 games, The white kit in this illustration correspond for preliminary round.
